SUZalli : THE DYNAMIC DUO
SUZalli, a doula/doula team, was born in 2020. Alli and Suzannah initially shared one thing in common, their midwife. But, it wasn’t long before they learned that they have so many overlaps, from living in the circus arts world to mirrored parenting styles to being complete birth nerds. Suzannah started her entry into attending births as a photographer, which led to sharing the birth space with Alli in the doula role. It was Alli’s love and tenderness, advocating for family after family after family, that inspired Suzannah to explore doula work. Alli and her collective, at the time, took Suzannah under their wings and she embraced learning from the best. Now, many years later, Alli and Suzannah can finish each others’ sentences and have a deep rooted trust within their friendship and partnership. They both have special offerings to bring to each birth experience and are equally dedicated to the families that welcome them into their lives.

Alli Cuentos
Alli is a seasoned birth doula serving families from all cultures and backgrounds in the Bay Area, primarily San Francsico. She has cared for roughly 500 families, including her work with SisterWeb and Community Well. WOW! She is grounded, intuitive, loyal, sociable, passionate, crafty & immensely patient. But, most of all, she is one-of-a-kind.
Suzannah Weening
Suzannah started off as a birth photographer over thirteen years ago, gradually inserting herself into the birth doula world, learning from the best. Currently, she is nourishing her passion for homebirth midwifery, having completed certification as an assistant midwife. She has encountered some big challenges in her life, but feeling ready and available to take on more responsibility. She is hard working, funny, determined, zealous and creative. True informed consent and bodily autonomy are at upmost priority for her. She is still growing and changing, but embracing life one day at a time!
TRUEshare is the name of our practice, sharing Young Living essential oils with all who may benefit.
Suzannah was introduced to essential oils many years ago, but she had no idea how they would be such a huge part of her healing process. Her sister, Tammy, gifted her an entire kit of essential oils from frankincense to lavender and lots in between. She was intrigued and curious about how to apply and utilize the oils, but it felt overwhelming at the time.
Shortly after, Suzannah broke the seal by applying the oils in the process of her dad’s passing, but wished she had more knowledge and understanding. She started to explore a wider range of essential oils after discovering that she had developed a tumor in her pituitary gland. This was the true beginning of her determination to find an alternative treatment. She liked nothing less than pharmaceutical drugs. Well, almost nothing! With enough research and experimentation, she discovered two essential oils (Young Living progessence plus and endoflex) that would help shrink the tumor and guide her into more education. Her Endocrinologist was blown away!
As she learned about the range and meaning of properties in the oils, she started to share her growing collection with family, friends and clients. One client expressed such gratitude for using Suzannah’s essential oils during the labor, which led her to full integration into her doula practice. She was hooked. She shared custom blends with every expecting family, each birthing mama, and most people in her world. As the years passed, she noticed how many friends, family members and clients were asking questions and asking for more.
Suzannah was thrown a curve ball once again, with a breast cancer diagnosis, leading to deeper exploration and wonder about the power of these oils. She aborted conventional treatment after being misdiagnosed, unheard and unable to stomach the brutal plan of killing her body with poison. The oils were a great compliment to her natural regimen of healing modalities.
After full recovery, a burst of energy and viewing life through a new lens, Suzannah has taken her commitment to the next level of sharing. Joining her is Maria Iorillo, her friend, her midwife, her partner in WISE&true and TRUEshare. She is in the process of building her team, consisting of solid and empowering women. Included are her midwife and friend (Maria), her sister (Tammy), her niece (Marijke) and many more!
